Very true and concisely drawing the line for the mistaken investors. Thanks for the reminder.

I think where you are you can partake of some Negroamaro or Valpolicella to drown out that macro.

I so enjoy what you put out. I've not invested before and did not know a thing about investing, finance, markets etc. What you are doing for people like me is giving insight where otherwise there is none. I really appreciate your writings ... now back to the red and new wife. I look forward to the next one. Thanks and enjoy!

emotionally it's a bit hard to see that long-term investment is going down, especially if you have waited for entry (i.e. alibaba shares)

Very useful, I have work to do!

Considering we are in a bear market, What’s your opinion about a little bit trading good value stocks, so that you can remain long if it does not go well short term?

There is always opportunity, however in order to trade based on a fundamental valuation thesis, you must make sure that you have a good grasp of the fundamental value. In other words, don't just assume something is a value play because it falls into a certain category (i.e. non- growth tech). But if it trades on a low absolute multiple (sub 10x as a rule of thumb) and on a low relative multiple (when compared to peers and its historical trading range), then go for it!
